3rd December 2020

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now."

On Thursday 3rd December, Primary 6S had a BIG job to do!

We arrived to school in our 'outdoor gear' to go and plant trees at the chapel with Marlene from the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and Mary from the parish’s Older and Wiser Women’s Group.

Firstly, Marlene taught us the correct way to plant a tree. After that, we got the chance to put our digging skills to the test by planting apple, hazel and holly trees.

The weather was very kind to us and we really did enjoy our morning of gardening.
