We are delighted to announce, that in conjunction with our hardworking PTA, we have been awarded funding through a successful grant application (Making Life Better through Covid 19 - Community Networks in the Northern Area 2020-21). The programmes delivered will focus on building positive emotional health and wellbeing in all our young children.

The first programme 'Laughter Yoga' will be delivered remotely, beginning on Monday 1st February. It is a 2-week taster programme. Each week a pre-recorded video (by Michelle Major, founder of The Sunshine Project) will be uploaded to our school website. We encourage all children to take part.

Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga is a fun stress management tool suitable for all the family. The playful laughter exercises offers an engaging way to connect with our children and invite more joy into our homes. We will also explore the calming benefits of Yogic Breathing and relaxation techniques.

Below is an overview of the 6-week programmes that will be delivered in school when we return, for Ys1-3 and Ys4-7.

Be Happy Kids - Y1 to Y3
This fun programme is specifically designed to help support young children with their emotional wellbeing, confidence, concentration and focus. We do this by engaging with fun themes through movement, breathing, positive affirmations and relaxation techniques.

Be Cool, Be Calm - Y4 to Y7
This cool programme introduces children to CALM techniques to help them create their own inner-peace, build resilience, confidence and focus. It empowers the children with the positive skills to reduce worry & anxiety, helping them to regulate their emotions & relax their body.
