Shared Education in Y6

Primary 6 pupils will take part in a shared education ‘Trailblazers Academy Project’ with Clough Primary School, Rasharkin PS and St. Patrick’s PS (Rasharkin). The project begins this month and continues every Wednesday until March 2020. During this time the schools will meet on three occasions, beginning with a get together day in the Adair Arms (Ballymena) on Thursday 19 September.

The project will be based around multimedia skill sets such as Film Making and Animation and will build upon the knowledge and skills the children have already developed during their ICT curriculum in school. Workshop themes will include: animation, films, games and apps. Throughout the project the children will use digital based technology to address good community relations.

Thank you to the parent volunteers who will support us during the project and more volunteers are very welcome, with training provided.

We look forward to building relationships with our neighbouring schools and further developing the children’s super ICT skills. The sponsors of the programme will also donate three additional iPads for the school.
