School Council
18th October 2019
School Council elections took place on Friday 18 October 2019 with Y4-7 pupils going to the polls to elect a male and female school councillor for each of the year groups. At Mary Queen of Peace PS we want to consult with the children when making decisions about the school.
The election process started with class nominations, followed by an election campaign.
The outgoing School Council did a brilliant job conducting the election and ensuring that there was an up to date electoral roll, ID for voters and even a real ballot box for the elections. Thank you for your work last year which included, amongst other things, organising fundraising and revamping Sports Day.
Congratulations to this year’s School Councillors who will begin their role by promoting the Hallowe’en Family Night. We try to add something new each year, and in 2019-20, our School Council will join up with their friends in Camphill PS for some joint sessions.
