Primary 5 Shared Education - Live Art Lesson

Primary 5 children from MQP and Camphill PS came together virtually today via Zoom for an online art lesson with Sinead McDermott.
We took inspiration from local artist Lucy Pittaway and illustrator of The Snowman, Robert Briggs, and used water colours to create a beautiful Winter Wonderland. Sinead introduced us to different brush and blending techniques.
Firstly, we used pencils to sketch the hills, trees and fences. Sinead talked about the foreground and the background of the pictures. We then brough our pictures to life, using paint and water. We used different shades of colours to add shading and textures.
I think you'll agree that the finished products are certainly something to be proud of. It was lovely to see our Camphill friends at work too, all sharing the same goal and working towards the same end product.
