Primary 3: House & Homes

Primary 3’s theme this term is Houses and Homes. The children have been looking at the different types of houses in Glenravel, as well as houses around the world.
The children have been learning about how houses are designed and built. As part of their project, Martin Dunseath, an architect with Slemish Design Studio (Broughshane), kindly visited the school and had a question-and-answer session with P3. Together they discussed the role of an architect and the children enjoyed learning about Martin’s job. The class also had an opportunity to see plans of buildings he is designing.
Martin and his partners in Slemish Design Studio are very kindly running a competition for P3, with the children asked to design their own 'Dream House'. There’s even the chance to win a Smyth’s Voucher! Good luck.
