Eco-Warriors at Work
12th March 2020
Year 5 became Eco-Warriors today as they headed to Waterfoot Beach to do some litter picking.
This linked in well with their topic, Liquid Gold (Water) and the effects of plastic pollution on the world's oceans.
They covered every inch of the beach and no stone was left unturned (quite literally on occasions). When the children returned to school they weighed each of their litter bags to see just how hard they really had worked.
In the end the children managed to collect a whopping 38 and a half kilograms of litter!
Super work saving the world children!
Remember, the smallest actions make the biggest impact!
