Cross-Country

Cross-country races resumed, with Athletics NI's Causeway heat taking place at the Ulster University, Coleraine. This was the first school sport competition in two years and as a result of Covid restrictions, qualification was restricted to one round of the championship only - so everything was on this race.
The girls' team were very good on the day, running their hearts out for their absent team member. Well done girls. A super race, with a second place overall for the team, which means the girls will qualify for the NI Primary Schools' Final.
In the boys' race, the team performed really well also, in a very competitive field, finishing tenth overall. It was so competitive that there was even a false start because all of the boys were so up for the race.
Thank-you to our parents who turned out in terrific numbers on the day to support the children. Team MQP!
