Trócaire 2024

Our Lenten Trócaire collection is now complete. The children raised £801.06. Well done everyone.
Trócaire is an important part of the ethos of our school. It is our faith in action.
We want the children to know about developing world issues:
- This year’s theme was water.
- The country the pupils were studying was Malawi, with a focus on Patrick and Patricia’s family.
The children demonstrated their commitment to making the world a fairer place by raising money for Trócaire:
- Copper Coin Collection every Friday, where Primary 1 visited the classes (on both sites) to collect copper coins.
- A Trócaire box in every classroom.
- One big fundraising day during Lent. This was Green Day, where the children donated £1 to dress in green and a Bun Sale, organised by Primary 6.
We are a Take 5 school. Trócaire helps us to: Give (charity), Connect (to children in other parts of the world), Keep Learning (about developing world issues) and Take Notice (climate change, the developing world).
