Take 5: Level 2 Accreditation

We have achieved our Take 5, Level 2 Accreditation. Congratulations to everyone!
The pupils have been busy this year developing their understanding of the five simple steps to wellbeing. As well as a variety of classroom activities, the whole school participated in a special event; our sponsored walk for School Aid Romania. This was a memorable occasion for a very worthy cause and provided the opportunity for our children and staff to Connect, keep Learning, be Active, take Notice and to Give.
Mrs O'Mullan and Mrs McNicholl, attended the Take 5 Accreditation ceremony on behalf of Mary Queen of Peace. We were delighted to CONNECT to so many other schools, who shared fantastic ideas about how they implement Take 5 in their school and we LEARNT a lot. Nuala McKeever from North Star Wellbeing, was happy to GIVE us some valuable information about the importance of self-care and taking NOTICE about how we are feeling. We will be ACTIVE next year embedding this knowledge in the curriculum.
We want to continue to promote the wellbeing of our pupils and staff, so next year we hope to go for our Take 5, Level 3 Accreditation.
