Success at the Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Hurling Competition

Success at the Cumann na mBunscol indoor hurling competition!
The eight indoor hurlers from Mary Queen of Peace had a fantastic day competing in the Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Hurling competition in the Antrim Forum.
The team played four group games against St Oliver Plunkett PS (Toome), Cregan PS, Mount St Michael's PS (Randalstown) and Millquarter PS. They won each of their group games, amassing goals and only conceding 2 goals. Topping their group led the boys directly to the cup semi-final where they met their toughest challenge of the day. Their opponents were St Oliver Plunkett PS again, who had done their homework and put up a magnificent challenge, taking the game to 2 periods of extra time. It took a goal in the second period of extra time from our captain to put light between the two teams and send the MQP boys into the final.
The final against St Joseph's PS (Crumlin) was another great game with the MQP players putting in a solid shift to win the game and ultimately the competition!
Well done to each and every player who worked so hard in each game today. The boys enjoyed their celebration.
