St. Patrick’s Week in MQP
It has been a few years since we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in school. Too long!
Monday
Trócaire copper coin collection. Primary 1 children visit both sites to collect money for Trócaire.
Y7: Lunchtime GAA games organised by the School Council (children should wear their school uniform but can wear a GAA club/county top instead of their polo shirt, trainers needed).
Tuesday
Y6: Lunchtime GAA games organised by the School Council (children should wear their school uniform but can wear a GAA club/county top instead of their polo shirt, trainers needed).
Wednesday
Green Day: This is a non-uniform day and the children dress in green. £1 donation to Trócaire.
Trócaire Bun Sale (organised by Primary 6) will take place on both sites. Buns cost 50p. This is our only Lenten treat.
St. Patrick’s Variety Concerts (P3-4, P5-7 in the Parish Hall). The children are invited to perform an act for St. Patrick’s Day (dance, tell jokes, recite a poem, play a traditional instrument, sing). There is a school tradition of singing the Rattlin’ Bog.
Y5: Lunchtime GAA games organised by the School Council (children dressed in green, trainers needed).
Thursday
St. Patrick’s Day (school closed).
Friday
School Closed.
