Y1 and Y2 Shared Ed Day

Today, the Year 1 pupils from MQP headed off to join their friends in Camphill for a day of fun and learning while the Year 2 pupils hosted their Camphill friendly 'pirates' in MQP.
Year 1 were very busy as they completed a listening and colouring game, a scavenger hunt looking for minibeasts, a yoga class and to end the day they had a lovely trip to Camphill's play park.
The children in Year 1 will come together again for an end of term trip to W5 on Thursday 9th June.
The Year 2 boys and girls from both schools made terrifying pirates and had a brilliant day of pirate and under the sea themed activities.
The children completed a carousel of activities which included crafting a fish or jellyfish wand. They used Bee Bots to navigate around treasure islands and under the sea mats, and put their problem solving skills to the test to complete pirate puzzles with their Numicon.
Outdoor play was so much fun. The children had the opportunity to build a pirate ship with blocks and we even had one or two pirates 'walking the plank'. We all know that pirates love music so the children took part in an under-the-water song, each choosing different instruments to represent various sea animals.
Unfortunately, towards the end of our day, the weather was unkind to us and our scavenger hunt had to be replaced with indoor play instead. But it wasn't all bad because we managed to find some treasure...the perfect way to end the day for any pirate!
The children in Year 2 will come together again for an end of term trip to W5 on Wednesday 8th June.
