School Inspection: Pupil Treat Day
24th February 2025

The Education Training Inspectorate (ETI) inspected the school from the 3 – 6 February 2025 (inclusive). The inspection was hugely successful, with the school receiving the highest possible grading in all areas. We are delighted with the outcome and look forward to sharing the ETI’s findings when the report is published later in the term.
Central to the success of the report were the children in Mary Queen of Peace PS. The pupils were described as:
Very focused, confident, fully engaged with their learning and happy children.
Resilient and try new things.
Patient, comfortable with each other, collaborative and work well together.
Strong relationships with each other and with the staff.
High expectations for behaviour; exemplary the way they speak to each other; supportive and caring towards each other; kindness as they watch out for each other.
We are so proud of the children and we would like to celebrate their success.
On Tuesday 4 March 2025 we have a School Inspection Pupil Treat Day. The whole school will go, all together, to the Jet Centre (Coleraine) for a session in the soft play area (infants) and bowling (senior pupils). Followed by a visit to the cinema. There will be no charge for this activity, this is our way of acknowledging the wonderful children in Mary Queen of Peace PS.
