School Development Plan: Play

Our School Development Plan manages our curricular, pastoral, financial, building and community priorities.

This year we are focusing on Literacy (handwriting), Special Educational Needs and Play in the curriculum.

Clare Devlin (Education Consultant) has been working with the staff during the year in promoting play-based learning. We have already been trained in water play and our next area for development is Block Play. The staff (teachers and assistants) worked on developing Block Play from Primary 1 - 7, involving the curricular themes in each year group as well as engineering challenges.

We look forward to developing Block Play with all the classes this year and in years to come.
