School Council

The School Council and Mrs McKeown (Literacy Co-ordinator) have been busy this term ordering new Accelerated Reader (AR) books. We are committed to listening to our pupils and working together we can continue to improve our school. The children went on-line to select fiction and non-fiction books for their class. It was very obvious that the children knew how to click and add to the basket!
AR has been a real success and with your support from the Book Fair we were able to use the school’s commission to re-invest in the children’s reading. Thank-you. AR is going from strength to strength in our P5, 6 and 7 classes and as a further incentive children who successfully complete 10 quizzes with 85 % or more accuracy will be allowed to have a ‘ lucky dip’ in a special AR Prize Bin. So keep reading everyone!
