Safer Internet Day 2023 in MQP
7th February 2023
" Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online."
We celebrated Safer Internet Day 2023 in MQP on Tuesday 7th February.
In the Foundation and KS1 classes, the children used the story of 'Hanni and the Magic Window' to focus on the positive uses of technology in their lives and the things they liked about their online world. The children also explored how to recognise when to get help with a worry or a concern and who they should go to for help.
In KS2 opportunities were made for the children to discuss which online issues matter to them most, what changes they would like to see in their online lives and what they could do if they did experience issues that caused them to be scared or worried - The Healing Power of Help!
As a parent or carer, you play a key role in helping your child to stay safe online. You don't need to be an expert on the internet. Advice and resources are available to support you as you support your child to use the internet safely, responsibly and positively. Check out the link below for a parent's guide to technology.
