Primary 7 Shared Education Day

Primary 7 had their final visit to Camphill yestereday and what a action packed day it was.
The theme for the day was 'Transitioning to Big School''.
In Session 1, the PSNI visited the children to talk about bus station safety, anti-social behaviour at the station, social media safety, videoing, crossing roads as well as providing some important facts about vaping. The highlight of this sessions was getting inside the police car to try out the sirens and lights!
Session 2 saw the return of the PLAY IT BY EAR drama company. Chris and Ross completed a 'Transition and Emotions' workshop where they got the children to think of all the emotions they might feel when moving on to secondary school and how they might deal with them.
Mental Wellbeing was Session 3 and this was led by the teachers. Through Circle Time activities and quiet relaxation the children had the opprotunity to try out some simple techniques that they could use to help them feel calm when new things become a little overwhelming.
