Primary 5: School Trip to Streamvale Open Farm

Primary 5 had a blast today at Streamvale Open Farm. Our tour guide, Allison, taught us a lot about milk and we even had the chance to milk Buttercup the cow. We were kept busy helping to bottle feed the lambs and feeding the highland cows and the goats some crunchy cabbage.

In the 'Cuddle Corner' we got to pet a tiny chick and a rabbit - we really wanted to bring them back to Glenravel! After a lot of steps we took a little break, hopped aboard the tractor and rode down to feed the deer.

The sun shone brightly all day and we were able to enjoy our picnic in the shade, followed by an ice cream treat - the delicious ice cream was made on the farm!

Finally, we ended our trip with a lap around the farm on the popular Barrel Ride!

We had a whale of a time at Streamvale.
