Primary 5 Shared Education at Camphill
13th November 2025
Primary 5 had a fabulous, fun filled day with their friends in Camphill P.S. This was the first of many visits planned for this year and what a great start we had!
The day was split up into three sessions.
Mrs O'Mullan led an anti-bullying workshop where children got the opportunity to act out some role play scenarios. Excellent discussions, acting and talent on show.
Miss Simpson and the children from Camphill P.S led the groups in an ICT lesson where everyone used the app Just 2 Easy to research information about Cushendall, our shared space, that the children will be visiting on a trip together in Term 2.
Mrs Duffin and the children of Mary Queen of Peace have been working on coding skills using Sphero in school. Our children became the experts and introduced the Camphill children to this type of coding. Children worked together to design a path to reach an Egyptian artefact and then instructed the Sphero to follow this path using their coding. I bet archaeologists in Ancient Egyptian times wished they had a Sphero to help them recover some artefacts.
What a successful day! Children learning from each other's expertise, collaborating, laughing together and forging new friendships that will grow stronger throughout the year.
