Primary 5 Shared Ed Day - Cultural Diversity
12th March 2026
Today P5 welcomed our friends from Camphill Primary School for another busy day of collaboration.
Despite the wet and miserable morning, the children came together full of enthusiasm for the day ahead. We quickly got into our groups and started each activity. The children had the opportunity to sample two similar but different sports with hockey and camogie/hurling. The children had great fun trying to master the two sports.
The second activity again explored our cultural diversity as the children learned how to perform the Haka as Gaeilge. The children thoroughly enjoyed performing the Haka and will hopefully the pupils in MQP will get a chance to show what they have learned on our upcoming Green day.
The third activity was led by two gentlemen from Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. The children worked in groups as they tried to identify a variety of pond, river and lake creatures using a classification key.
Another very successful Shared Education day for Primary Five and we look forward to our next day together in April.
