Outdoor Learning in the Foundation Stage

In the Foundation Stage, the children have been enjoying a wide range of outdoor learning experiences. Our staff carefully plan for play progression in literacy, mathematics, physical education and World Around Us outdoor lessons.
Outdoor Learning experiences provides our children with opportunities:
- To connect with the natural world;
- To gain first hand experiences of life and growth;
- For creativity and imagination;
- For problem solving and critical thinking;
- To explore and develop socially and
- To Improve fitness and physical development.
The countless benefits of outdoor play have a real positive impact on children's lives and learning. If positive habits are formed in their early years, children will be able to apply these learning styles throughout their lives.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Patrick Bell for our brand new outdoor construction area. This has helped to further build on our outdoor provision and setting in MQP.
