Number Day in MQP

World Maths Day in MQP was fantastic. Thank-you to all of our families for putting in a super effort with the Number Day costumes. They were fantastic and so creative!
A whole programme of maths activities took place during the day, both inside and outside of the classroom. Mental maths and problem solving were promoted, in particular. All of the number work took place through practical, real life and fun maths activities. The children loved it. A great day to be in MQP.
Thank-you for the support with Buy a Square (Daddy Calculator, Mummy Calculator, Baby Calculator). All proceeds from the day will go towards the purchase of a much needed maths scheme.
To sum it up, Number Day 2019 was, in total, brilliant and we will now add it to our calendar. Yes, there was one minus – the weather but that didn’t take away from Number Day. There were times during Number Day when we had a good laugh and we finished by dividing up the prizes between the classes. Should we stop?
