Mini 7s Hurling

The final competition in the SW Antrim Cumann na mBunscol calendar was the Mini 7s hurling, held in Tír na nÓg CLG (Randalstown). On a beautiful summer’s day the MQP boys did the school and club proud by going all the way to the semi-final, before a narrow defeat against the eventual winners. Seven games of hurling in that heat was a brilliant achievement, which also included being runners-up in the group stages.
As well as hurling well, the boys also worked together as a team and (despite their disappointment) were good sportsmen: win, lose or draw.
Our GAA season is now at an end. Thank-you to everyone who prepared the teams for the competitions and to Team MQP Parents for their assistance. A special thank-you to the Primary 7 children who, over two years, have represented Mary Queen of Peace proudly in all codes. We wish you well in your club and post-primary school sporting careers.
