Hurling
10th January 2019
The new term started with the SW Antrim Indoor Hurling competition at the Antrim Forum. Mary Queen of Peace went into the tournament as defending champions, having won it for the past two years.
In the group stages the boys started with victories over Toome and Moneynick before meeting St. Brigid's PS, Ballymena in the head-to-head group decider. The boys played their best hurling in this game, winning convincingly.
At the semi-final stage MQP came up against Mount St. Michael's, Randalstown. The first half finished 2 each but in the second half the Randalstown boys powered ahead to deservedly clinch their place in the final, which they won.
Well done to everyone involved. A good day for the school and plenty of promise for the club, in the future.
