Grandparents’ Day 2025
We were delighted to celebrate the special role grandparents play in the lives of our pupils at Mary Queen of Peace Primary School.
Grandparents' Day began with a beautiful Mass which the children attended with their grandparents and families. The Primary 4 class joined Fr Paul in a lovely blessing for all grandparents.
We congratulate Mrs Sharkey and her Primary 4 class who lead the St.Brigid’s tableau during the mass and sang the song, 'We Sing a Song to Brigid,’ accompanied Miss C McGurk.
The Grandparents of the Primary 1 and 7 children got to visit their classrooms. See where they sit and look at some of their fantastic work on display.
It was lovely to see so many grandparents and families in attendance today. We know that some children’s grandparents may have been unable to attend or who have sadly passed away. They were very much in our thoughts and prayers on this very special day.
