Grandparents' Day

Grandparents’ Day was a wonderful day for our new school. The children just loved having their grandparents in school and for many of our grandparents it was a trip down memory lane as they re-visited their old school.
We started the day with mass, which was celebrated by Fr. Lyons, to mark Catholic Schools’ Week and of course St. Brigid’s Day. After mass parents and grandparents took the children back to school. The children then got the opportunity to show their grandparents their classroom, their teacher, where they sit and where they hang their coat.
Thank-you to the PTA for organising tea in the Parish Centre for our grandparents. We were delighted to see so many people came back for refreshments to mark Grandparents’ Day.
