Girls' 7-a-side Camogie Tournament

Our camogie team took to the field for the last time this year in a very sunny Portglenone.
We played great camogie in our five group stage games, winning four of those games and drawing one. This took us into the cup competition where Creggan PS were our challengers in the quarter final. The girls must have been rejuvenated by their very healthy lunches because they played brilliantly and progressed to the semi final. St Patrick's PS, Rasharkin were waiting for us in the semi final and we had an epic battle ,where the ball went everywhere except into the goal! Unfortunately, we came up short in the match, losing by a single point.
As always, the girls were a credit to our school, the parish, their families and themselves. I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching these girls and wish them every success in their future camogie careers.
