Free School Meals and Uniform Grant

Applications for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the upcoming academic year are now open!

Please note, as well as new applicants, parents/guardians of children who are already in receipt of Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance will need to apply again for this school year.

All applicants will need to register to create an account to apply, even if you applied in the current 2022/23 year. You will then be able to log back in and check on the status of your application.

If you are applying for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the 2023/24 Academic Year, you may need to provide some additional supporting documentation.

If you are in receipt of one of the following:

➡️ Income Support

➡️ Income Based Jobseeker’s Allowance

➡️ Income Related Employment and Support Allowance

➡️ Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit

Then you will need to upload a Proof of Benefit letter with your application.

It will take at least five days to be sent to you. Once you receive the letter, keep it securely and upload a copy of the letter when you submit your Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance application.

Applications for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance should be submitted before Friday 28 July 2023 to ensure application is processed for the start of the new year.

Please ensure you have completed everything correctly and submitted all relevant supporting documentation.
