Farm Safety Winners

Earlier in the year Mrs McConway’s Y2 class entered the Health and Safety Executive NI (HSENI) Farm Safety Calendar competition along with 7,000 other children across the country. David Lowe (HSENI) visited the school today to present two of our pupils, now in Y3, with prizes for coming second and third in the competition. As well as framed copies of their original winning farm safety calendar entries, the children also received gift tokens.
The children’s winning entries were produced following an ICT: Film & Animation project on farm safety. The film produced by the class is well worth viewing again and is a timely reminder to our whole community of the importance of farm safety.

Later in year every family in the school will receive a HSENI Farm Safety Calendar and for the 2019 year and all have a chance to display the work of two of our MQP pupils. Well done girls!
