Egyptian Day in Primary 5

19th November 2025

Our Egyptian dress up day was a great success!

The children had the opportunity to make their own clay cartouche, engraving their name in hieroglyphics.

Next, we used a range of different construction materials, including our brand new wooden blocks, to build The Valley of Kings, scenes from Ancient Egypt and even the Great Pyramid of Giza!

We used Sphero to code our way to uncover some Egyptian artefacts. Children also had to become archaeologists and search for hidden treasures within the tomb.

Finally, they put their problem solving skills in Numeracy to the test by creating mathematical pyramids.

A fabulous day of teamwork, cooperation, problem solving and fun!

We hope you enjoy our video.
