Cumann na mBunscol 7-a-side Girls' Outdoor Tournament

What a fantastic day it was for Mary Queen of Peace at the SW Cumann na mBunscol 7-a-side outdoor tournament.
The girls really pulled together and showed incredible determination right from the start. In the group stages, they performed brilliantly, racking up an impressive 4 wins out of 5 matches. The sheer talent on display was nothing short of inspiring, as they showcased their skills and worked seamlessly as a team.
The competition moved into the quarter-finals of the cup, where MQP faced Mount St Michael's. The girls gave it their all and played exceptionally well, displaying their tenacity and passion for the game. However, as the final whistle blew, it was a hard-fought battle and we found ourselves just a point short of advancing further.
Despite the narrow loss, the girls wore their jerseys with pride and demonstrated true sportsmanship throughout the tournament. They made both their school and parents proud with their performance, showing that every effort counts. It’s been a day filled with remarkable football and memories to cherish.
