Cross-Country Finals

Our cross-country girls’ team reached Athletics NI’s Primary Schools' Finals and finished sixth overall! The girls qualified for the final race at the City of Belfast Playing Fields as Causeway Regional champions. On the day the competition standard was very high but our girls were right up there. After the race the girls were presented with a plaque for winning the regional competition.
We also had an individual participant in the boys’ race who was in the top ten percent of racers on the day. Well done.
This has been a great year for the Mary Queen of Peace boys’ and girls’ teams who helped maintain the standards of the old schools. They trained really well over the winter and were competitive in everyone of their fixtures. Our season is now over and we know there are children currently in Y5 and Y6 who can’t wait to get on next year’s team.
