Communication Information: Governors, Staff, Parents/ Guardian, Pupils – 24June 2024.
The Trustees and Board of Governors of Mary Queen of Peace Primary School are pleased to advise that acquisition of the site for the new school building is now complete, and that the Integrated Consultant Team (ICT) for the project is reviewing the final design and preparing the pre-tender estimate for the appointment of a building contractor.
On 28 May 2024 the Education Minister, Paul Givan, announced that an additional capital funding allocation would result in 15 schools moving to the construction procurement phase. Mary Queen of Peace PS was one of the school projects listed. It is currently anticipated that the project will be tendered in winter 2024 and construction works commencing in spring 2025.
