Catholic Schools’ Week 2024: Grandparents' Day

31st January 2024

The theme for this year’s Catholic Schools’ Week was Catholic Schools: Communities of Service.

At the centre of our week of celebration was Grandparents’ Day. The children celebrated mass with their parents, grandparents and special family members. Thank you to Fr. Paul and Mrs Duffin’s Y5 class for the beautiful mass.

This year our celebrations in school focused on inviting grandparents to visit their grandchildren’s classroom. The children enjoyed showing their grandparents where they sit, as well as introducing them to their teacher and classroom assistant.

After mass the PTA organised tea for grandparents in the Parish Hall. Thank-you, as always, to the PTA for supporting Catholic education throughout the school year.

Some of our pupils were born overseas and have grandparents right across Ireland and the globe. A very special Grandparents' Day to you all

We love Grandparents’ Day in MQP. Enjoy the photos.
