Athletics NI’s Primary Schools’ Finals
23rd February 2024
Our cross-country girls’ team participated in Athletics NI’s Primary Schools’ Finals. This was the season’s end of year event, with a thousand girls whittled down to the last seventeen teams. Mary Queen Of Peace PS qualified as the Causeway District champions.
On a beautiful winter’s day, the girls’ team finished eight overall, as well as strong individual performances.
Sport is an important part of life in school, both in the curricular and extra-curricular programme. We regularly compete, and are successful, at county, regional, provincial and national level. The children are well supported by their coaches and parents. This makes a difference. Thank-you to Team MQP.
Girls a brilliant season. Well done and we hope you enjoyed the treat.
