Anti-Bullying Week 2022 in MQP
18th November 2022
Anti-Bullying week began on Monday with Odd Socks Day with all the children celebrating difference. The theme this year is Reach Out with the children being encouraged to reach out to stop bullying and be the change you want to see.
The Primary One and Primary Two children have been focusing on being a kind friend and using kind words, while Primary Three made sure Anti-Bullying discussions and activities were part of their Shared Education day with their Camphill friends.
Primary Four discussed what bullying means, listened to a story from a little girl who was a bully and discussed the importance of being a good friend.
In Primary Five, the children made anti-bullying posters, discussed their differences, cruel actions and words and talked about how they could reach out to help others.
Primary Six children looked at how they can reach out and use their hands to think of five people they could reach out to for help.
Finally, Primary Seven focused on the importance of being an Upstander and not a Bystander when they see bullying taking place. They explored how to be an Upstander through role play and then made posters to deliver this message to other pupils in school.
